Holiday Post - Antarctic Centre

The Penguins from underneath the water.
The Penguins at Ground Level.
The 4D Theatre.
The Storm Room.
Finally, we arrived!  It seemed like forever to get from my Granddad's house to the Antarctic Centre.  Me, My mum, my Granddad and Daphne got out of the car and followed the footsteps to the front door.  Once we paid to get in we went into a mini ice cave. After a photo, we went into a dark room with snow falling (Actually it wasn't real snow. It was holograms).   In the corner of the room there was a fake transport thingy that people use to drive in the snow.  Inside it, there was video of man talking about something.  I think that was the creepiest room.  After that, we went into a hall.  Through a couple of windows, you could see a room filled with snow(Again, it wasn't snow, it was Ice).  Above one window it said "NEXT STORM IN 5 MINUTES".  Mum said that it was like a real Antarctic Storm.  To go in there, you had to put on some rubber boots and a Antarctic Jacket.  When we went inside, it slightly got colder and colder until it was -22 Degrees Celsius!  When the storm was over, my face and the rest of my body were fine, but my hands were practically Ice!  Just across from the storm room there was a table connected to the wall with  two holes.  Above those holes, on the wall, was a sign saying "How long can you put your hands in Antarctic water?".  I put my hands in the two holes.  By golly, It was cold!  On my first turn, my hands survived for 13 seconds.  On my second... 32 Seconds!  Down the hall from the storm room, was a 4D Theatre.  The next short movie was in half an hour.  Mum suggested that we just wait in line.  But I did not want to stand still for half an hour.  I said to mum that I would look at the penguins.  She decided to come with me.  There were 4 views of penguins.  1: Above the water 2: Beneath the water 3: At ground Level.  By the time we were finished, there was only 5 minutes to go.  Anyway, the 4D movie was called Ice Voyage.  By the time it was done, I was soaking(4D is like 3D, how stuff seems to pop out of the screen.  But also, it sprays water air and all that stuff).  After the short movie, we left the Antarctic Centre.
