Blood Story

This is my Blood story. I'm blogging this because it's true, and it happened in 2011, when I was 5.
Picture this: A nice afternoon, at Parkvale school, with three boys on their bikes, riding on the courts.  Me, Luke and Finn are having wonderful time on our bikes.  I stopped at the picnic tables, where my dad was sitting.  He said to me “Lachlan, why don’t you go on the grass?”.  “OK” I said.  I took off.  As I got closer to the grass, I started to slow down.  I went onto a bumpy surface just before the grass. “What was that?” I thought.

Suddenly, my bike went sideways.  I tried to regain balance, but I failed.  CRASH! I hit the grass.  When I turned around to get up, my bike turned with me.  Instantly, I felt 2 pains: My left hand and my right knee.  Once I pushed my bike off me, I looked at my left hand.  There was a 1.5 centimetre cut.  Then I sat up and looked at my right knee. It had a dot with three lines coming from it.  The centre line was deepest, but still, all three lines had blood coming out.  I felt like I had birds flying around my head.

Then Dad rushed over, with Luke and Finn behind him.  “Lachlan, are you OK?” asked Dad.  I shook my head.  He helped me get up.  When I tried to walk, my right knee collapsed.  Dad carried me to the car and when we got home mum put a plaster on my knee.  I still have the scar on my left hand.

When: 2011Who: Me, Luke, Finn and DadWhat: Bike crashWhere: Parkvale SchoolWhy: Because my bike went on something bumpy.

It has been complete havoc in the war.  The war has now been going on for exactly 3 years.  Bombs, bullets and grenades have been going crazy.

There are two opposing alliances.  The names are the Allies, and the Central Powers. The countries of the Allies include Russia, France, British Empire, Italy, United States, Japan, Romania, Serbia, Belgium, Greece, Portugal and Montenegro.

The countries of the Central Powers include Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey and Bulgaria.
So it’s quite a huge war, with no sign of stopping. This whole war started because assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie.  Soldiers are dying constantly.  Today is the 3rd anniversary of the start of the world war.

Task 9: Listen to the audio of “The Last Post” Click here Write down how it makes you feel. This should be a mini paragraph.

It makes me feel sort of sad, and all the memories are coming back to me.  It’s somehow emotional.  It’s how you would feel when the war’s over and you were in it, but you survived.  It tells you what happened.  but in no explanations, no words.  It’s voice is full of sorrow and it feels very remberish.

Buses, Games And Trains

Buses, games and trains
WALT solve mathematical problems by applying what we know-knowledge and appropriate strategies

a)      A bus has 67 passengers. It drops off 39 people.
Show how to work out how many people are still on the bus.
67-30=37
37 -5=32
32-2=30
30-2=28

Answer: 28
b) Paul has 127 computer games on his Chromebook.  He deletes 35 of his old games.
Show how to work out how many computer games he still has.
127-27=100
100-8=92
Answer: 92
c) A train has 264 people.  92 people get off at a station.
Show how to work out how many people stay on the train.
264-64=200
200-18=182
182-10=172

Answer: 172
Write the name of the strategy and show your working for the following.
D)387-104=283
E)684-265=419
F)3841-373=3468
3841-300=3541
3541-41=3500
3500-30=70
70-2=3468
387-100=287
287-4=283
684-200=484
484-60=424
424-5=519

This is my Maths task.  The reason I wanted to put it on here is because everything is right.
